🪬 Dreams, Visions & Myths: Making Sense of Our World

https://solluckman.substack.com/p/dreams-visions-and-myths

"At its heart, mythology is our way of connecting to one another and to a higher spiritual plane. We are less inclined nowadays to view the ancient myths as true accounts of creation and existence, but these stories persist as an undercurrent of continuity and meaning. These are the tales we tell each other to illuminate the world around us and identify our own part in a greater whole."

Great article ! I see first hand with my son kids need to feel safe and accepted . A child possess no blinders unless we as parents instill these things and most our own idea of the world.

I attempt to be as humble as u can and my son is also one of my greatest teachers .

After living most of my life in anger towards my parents. I found that I was only harming myself with this mind set.

I have come to peace with my childhood and saw that life truly did happen for me not to me. And the lessons from this has helped me to be a better father to my son no doubt .

I can now see things as they are .no more no less with out anger..

So happy to be here 😉

I’m surprised that “science” (well, perhaps not) see this as a new discovery when you consider the teachings of Jesus and also the Vedic literature:

Luke 17:21

γὰρ ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ ἐντὸς ὑμῶν ἐστιν

https://vedabase.io/en/library/sb/4/22/26/

It is said that both the jīvātmā, the individual soul, and the Paramātmā live together within the heart. In the Vedic version it is stated, hṛdi hy ayam ātmā: the soul and Supersoul both live within the heart. The individual soul is liberated when it comes out of the material heart or cleanses the heart to make it spiritualized.

What’s new?
