I too subscribe to the fact that the Consciousness is first to react and is faster than the brain itself. The proof exist within one singular reality: "The FEELING that one's Consciousness sends through one's Physical Self TRIGGERS the MIND to immediately take notice, evaluate, digest, and subsequently REACT to the signals received from one's Consciousness.
From my perspective, the Consciousness is tied directly to one's Spiritual Self. Depending upon one's level of discipline within their chosen Faith or Religion one's depth of connection may vary. Therefore, there's no set amount or perfect feeling in question here, it is simply that it exist, and you feel it. In the same manner in which you pull up to a simple Stop Light on the road, and get a Feeling to look to your right or left, and there another person already staring at you when you turn your head. This too is a reflection of the connectivity of Consciousness that precedes the MIND applying a Physical Action or Reaction.
I don't want to go any farther, because the article was very well structured and gave so much information to those that may not be aware of such elements of Life.
