As a big fan of Sol Luckman, the social media darling, I was confident I would enjoy the themes and nuanced POV in this story but was truthfully skeptical of his ability to pen a novel worthy of completing.
My skepticism was misplaced.
Luckman is a wordsmith in the same league as Ken Follet and creates characters as divine as Anastasia of the RINGING CEDARS.
An enjoyable read that kept me hooked and stretched my imagination.
Wow. What a review, that first sentence Megan!! I've read that sentence and the book at least 3 times now. I love it. I see the rose theme everywhere in my life and could find all the characters in aspects of me. I loved the inspiration and asperation of it all and the integration of essential teachings without preachings. I fell in love with all the characters and thought the intersection between worlds Big Mystery well navigated. Spoke to my heart, my mind, my power and really rooted well in my Body. Yum. Thanks Sol. Thanks Megan for the sharing of what you love with us all.

put this review on amazon.ca today, sol. was rereading Cali in the meanwhile as that last review I wrote was a smush of Cali and Snooze and waited til it was done. NOt sure it's going to help as I don't tiptoe around the censorship. more a stomping in boots kinda thing. we'll see if it even stays up. Here's what I wrote, "Thank you Sol, for your brilliant, shining love for all of humanity. Your expression of it had me rapt and absorbed by the experience of reading it. I felt the tickles and tingles of resonance, truth and deep spirit as I did. The validation of my worldview was entirely satisfying both in the crafting of the characters and in the exquisite authentic nature of their relating with each other and in the presencing of them in the story as real people. they work equally well as personality aspects for me, I must say! The wholeness of it all, the surrender, the control, the power in balance while grounded in love. That scene where her dad jaxxed her and the one where they kissed before the trestle ride. just. so. yum. keep going back and rereading.
