Many, yours truly included, feel that not just a smattering of individuals but practically the whole population shows signs of being “disheartened, dispirited, or depressed.” At the risk of beating a dead drum, it’s safe to say that most people, to use Thoreau’s parlance, “lead lives of quiet desperation.”
This sorry state of affairs is, in my humble opinion, absolutely on purpose.
This “deep shadow work,” if you will, is only accessed by paying less and less of our precious attention to the Matrix as we go far, far inward in order to open the door infinitely outward to the Undiscovered Country beyond.
“My advice is to feel free to play in the Matrix by using technology basically however you see fit to bring your ideas to life for the benefit of yourself and, with any luck, others. The only guideline, if I may suggest one, would be as in the Hippocratic oath: ‘First, do no harm.’”
